Step 1: Lay two double-page newspaper sheets together, end to end and overlapping about five inches. Starting at the short end, roll the newspapers into a long tube. Step 2: Flatten the top half of the tube. Make a tear down the middle of the flattened tube from the top to about halfway down the tube. Paint the entire front of the paper plate green. Then, let it dry. Once the paper plate has dried, cut it into quarters so you have four triangles. Glue three of the triangles together as shown in the photo above. Paint a jumbo popsicle stick brown. Then, hot glue it to the back of the Christmas tree you formed with the three triangles. Cut 7 paper strips, each at 11″ long, starting at 3″ wide, decreasing every 0.25″ to 1.5″ wide. Then cut another 4 or 5 pieces of paper strips at 1.5″ wide by 11″ long. This is because it is much easier to fold wider paper strips then cut them, than to fold really narrow paper strips, as you will see in next step.
