The Alfa Romeo Diva Was A Beautiful Concept Ahead Of Its Time

The Alfa Romeo Diva is a concept car of the Italian automobile manufacturer Alfa Romeo. The car was first shown at the Geneva Motor Show in 2006. [2] The car was developed through a collaboration between Centro Stile Alfa Romeo, Fiat Group's research center Elasis and the Espera design school led by Franco Sbarro. [3] Like 80 percent of all automotive concepts, the Alfa Romeo Diva is a glorious case of what could have been - even more so now that 4C production has ended and FCA has just culled its next-generation sports cars, believed to have included a two-door GTA and an 8C Competizione successor.

2006 Alfa Romeo Diva Concept Images, Specifications and Information

The Diva concept was presented at the Geneva Motor Show in 2006. It was the result of a cooperation between Elasis, the Alfa Romeo Style Centre, and Franco Sbarro's atelier. Its lines do not hide their inspiration on the 33 Stradale, while the mechanical set-up was based on a V6 3.2 engine combined with the Selespeed gearbox and mounted in a central rear position. Connected to a six-speed Selespeed semi-automatic transmission sending power to the rear wheels, the Diva could accelerate from zero to 60 mph in five seconds thanks to its reinforced carbon. Profile First displayed at the 2006 Geneva Motor Show, the Diva concept was a collaboration between Alfa Romeo and the Sbarro Espera Design School. Developed from the Alfa 159, the Diva's 3.2 litre V6 was boosted to almost 300hp. Top speed was around 170mph, with a decent 5 second 0-60mph sprint. The Alfa Romeo Diva is a mid-engine supercar that was designed by a group of Italian engineers led by Filippo Sapino. The car was never produced in mass quantities, and only a few prototypes were made.
