Altars of Madness is the debut studio album by American death metal band Morbid Angel, released on May 12, 1989, by Combat Records / Earache Records. The album was recorded in December 1988 at Morrisound Recording in Tampa, Florida. Original CD version has 2 different back cover layouts, each with their own specific pictures and organization.
