Science Gateway CERN's future visitor centre, designed by world-renowned architect Renzo Piano, will open to the public in 2023. Located next to the Globe of Science and Innovation, it will host brand-new exhibitions, labs for hands-on experiments, a 900-seat auditorium, a shop and a restaurant. CERN Science Gateway will be open to the public as of tomorrow, 8 October 2023. The inauguration ceremony began with an address by Fabiola Gianotti, the CERN Director-General, who stressed the value of education and outreach with the public. The CERN Science Gateway, a new educational and outreach facility of about 7000 m2, will be a unique attraction in the heart of Europe, bringing visitors up close to the science and innovation at CERN. CERN is launching the Science Gateway, a new scientific education and outreach centre targeting the general public of all ages. With hands-on experiments, real scientific objects, immersive environments and interactivity, the exhibitions at Science Gateway will bring CERN to life. CERN Science Gateway will be open to the public as of tomorrow, 8 October 2023. "Sharing CERN's research and the beauty and utility of science with the public has always been a key. Admission to CERN Science Gateway is free for everyone. Families, individual visitors and small groups (fewer than 12 people) can freely access our three interactive exhibitions, as well as science shows and films (subject to availability). In addition, you can sign up for guided tours and lab workshops on a first-come, first-served basis. 6 June, 2023 CERN Science Gateway in April 2023 CERN Science Gateway will be officially inaugurated on 7 October and open to the public as of 8 October.
