Domus del Chirurgo Nel luglio 1989, in occasione dei lavori di riqualificazione urbana di piazza Ferrari, sono venuti alla luce materiali archeologici di notevole interesse. I lavori di scavo, durati una decina di anni, hanno permesso di identificare un grande complesso archeologico sviluppatosi tra l'epoca romana e la tarda antichità del. La domus del Chirurgo sorge al margine settentrionale di Ariminum, vicino all'antica linea di costa. Il suo cuore è l'ambulatorio (taberna medica), articolato in uno studio e in una stanza per brevi ricoveri. Qui il sapiente medico, venuto dall'Oriente, esercita la sua professione fino all'incendio che sigilla sotto le macerie bellissimi.
