WotC has posted a video introducing the iconic Dragonlance villain Lord Soth (albeit with the words "Lord Soth is Tiamat's favourite death knight"..) Upgraded from the original Dragonlance adventures and novels, Soth now rides on a death dragon! In fact he is able to resurrect dead dragons as death dragons under his command. Lord Soth is one of the main villains for the Shadow of the Dragon Queen campaign, and those familiar with the Dragonlance setting will already be familiar with the formidable Death Knight. Players will eventually come face to face with Lord Soth over the course of the campaign. This will likely happen once the party is level 10 or higher, and that's a good thing, as Lord Soth is not an easy.

In Dragonlance: Shadow of the Dragon Queen, Lord Soth is represented as an upgraded Death Knight. This is about right, since, after all, he is the iconic Death Knight, going so far as to provide their key art. In combat terms, he's CR 19 as opposed to the standard CR 17 Death Knight.
