The Fiat 600 ( Italian: Seicento, pronounced [ˌsɛiˈtʃɛnto]) is a small, rear-engined city car and economy family car, made by Italian carmaker Fiat from 1955 to 1969 — offered in two-door fastback sedan and four-door Multipla mini MPV body styles. The Fiat Multipla (Type 186) is a six-seater car produced by Italian automaker Fiat from 1998 to 2010. Based on the Bravo/Brava, the Multipla was shorter and wider than its rivals. It had two rows of three seats, where its compact MPV competitors had two across front seating.

THE CAR. This 1962 Fiat 600 Multipla is a partially restored driver's example that was directly imported from Italy into the United States approximately six years ago. The body is entirely original, accident free, and bereft of corrosion. The body and interior retains all of its original hardware, including lighting equipment, glass, bumpers. Even in fine fettle the engine is something of a wheezer, rated at just 21bhp. Fresh from the factory the Multipla would take a full 43 secs to reach 50mph, with 60mph only achievable downhill and with a tail wind. Things improved slightly in 1960 with the arrival of a more powerful 767cc unit, but even this larger-bored and longer-stroked. Even though it wasn't the most beautiful car, its design continues to impress after more than twenty years. La 600 Multipla rimase in produzione tra il 1956 e l'inizio del 1966, mentre le vendite andarono avanti fino ai primi mesi del 1967. I primi tre anni Fiat scelse Mirafiori come impianto destinato all'assemblaggio del modello, successivamente la produzione fu spostata a Desio nello stabilimento di Autobianchi. 💡
