The first stage is a double J-FET on a single IC in differential mode ; the pre-driver stage boasts high Gm MOS-Fets in cascode with fixed current load. I regret it but my current M02 I'm happy with. I sold mine with the tp117 for $800. I have seen the M03 and C03 combo go for around $2500.
