Prato Textile Museum initially opened in 1975 at Tullio Buzzi Technical Institute, from May 2003, it has been in the converted Campolmi textile mill in the centre of Prato. It is Italy's largest centre for the study, conservation and exhibition of historic and contemporary textiles. The Prato Textile Museum Foundation was founded in November. It now opens from 10am to 3pm on weekdays (except Monday) and 10am to 7pm on weekends. Entrance fee is 8 euro for adults and 5 euro for children.
