Petani Beach (also spelled Petanoi) is situated in the North West of the Paliki, in Kefalonia, Greece. The nearest large town is Lixouri . Character The beach is set at the base of a very steep road, surrounded by mountains, in a curved bay with a strip of pebble and sand beach which is up to 50M wide in places. It's located on the west cost of Kefalonia, just north of Lixouri. The main part of the beach is over 500m long, there's a couple of tavernas around the path that leads down to the beach and in front of the tavernas is where you'll find the sun loungers that are available to hire. Petani Beach has some similarity wiht the famous Myrtos beach on Kefalonia . It is advised to go what earlier due to car parking problems . The cars then need to be parked next to the steep road leading to Petani Beach . One can lay on beds here for free if one orders drinks or food . Petani Beach = GREAT !!

Petani is a magnificent beach and it looks a lot like Myrtos (it almost has the same orientation for admiring the beautiful sunset). Petani is also on the Paliki Peninsula, on Kefalonia's west coast.Of all the beaches on the island, it's the most similar to Myrtos (along with Platia Ammos and Gialiskari which are both difficult to access at the moment)..
