An extremely rare Zaccagnini Disney Pluto Sitting. Likely to be made by Mario Bandini in the late 1930's early 1940's. Polychrome Ceramic. Pluto does show signs of wear from age/storage. There are some paint and ceramic chips to the eyelids, ears, leg and back. He stands at 17.2cm. Please see pictures for further details. 7" tall beautifully painted and glazed ceramic w/mark on underside for this Italian company. The company signed a contract w/Disney in 1947 that lasted about 10 years.. Great image of Pluto seated w/one paw raised. Hairlines in glaze on underside are as fired, does not affect display in any way. Piece remains totally bright, glossy and Exc. Underside has this Italian company's mark but the series number is extremely faint and cannot be made out. Zaccagnini signed a contract w/Disney in 1947 which lasted for about ten years.
