This OHV trail begins at the Widforss Trailhead and travels out and back along the Point Sublime Trail. The route is rough in spots, so a high clearance 4-wheel drive is recommended. It is recommended to bring a saw, an axe, and a winch as the trail can often be blocked by fallen trees. The views at Point Sublime are nice and there are a couple of stops along the way where you can see. There are two roads to Point Sublime. The first, Point Sublime Trail, heads west just north of the North Rim Campgrounds and is about 18 miles long. According to the guidebooks, it takes about two hours to drive. A second road heads west just north of the North Rim Entrance station.

One day we started out on the more southerly of the two roads which is accessed from the Widforss turn-off of Highway 67 inside Grand Canyon National Park.
