These lightweight Zagato versions can really fly in the right hands and are perhaps. Alfa's mechanicals were untouched: all-alloy twin-cam mill, Weber DC0E carbs, 109hp, five-speed, solid axle, even the suspension tuning was left alone. The lighter weight allowed better braking and cornering, however, and the aerodynamics aided acceleration. Body construction is all steel--a surprise, as Zagato was known for its use of alloys.
