A cop named Cates ( Nick Nolte) has been on his trail for years - but every time he gets close, the Iceman slips away. Meanwhile, a convict named Hammond ( Eddie Murphy) is about to be released from prison. Maybe he knows who the Iceman is. Maybe he can help Cates. On the other hand, maybe he can't. He sure doesn't want to. Advertisement

The Iceman cometh! Yeah, so Another 48 Hrs. might not be the film fans wanted at the time of its release, but it still EXPLODES with action scenes that sees bodies flying all sorts of places as they are shot by a crazy biker gang. And that's just in its opening scene, which arguably is one of director Walter Hill's best western styled openings. The cop and the convict are back in Walter Hill's "Another 48 Hrs." A sequel that could easily but wrongfully be written off as unnecessary, the followup to Hill's "48 Hrs." actually completes characters arcs from the first film and provides a more interesting narrative.
