The Ikon 6's unique hybrid tweeter has been trickled down from DALI's more expensive Euphonia and Helicon series. The tweeter module includes a cloth-dome unit that runs from 3kHz to beyond 20kHz, as well as a ribbon that handles the range from 14kHz to beyond 30kHz. published 18 July 2005 What Hi-Fi? DALI IKON 6 is the sure ticket for many years of listening pleasure in any small to medium-sized room. The elegant, slim design is an added bonus that allows the speaker to blend in with any interior. IKON 6 strikes the perfect balance between size and performance. for the Ikon 6 I auditioned the Ikon 6 against PSB Platinum M2, Dali Helicon 300, Dali Ikon 2, and some none A/B listening of B&W CDM-7 and MA RS8 models close to same price class. I listened to the PSB, Ikon, and Helicon in the same audio corrected room.

The DALI IKON 6 MK2 is an amazing all-round floor speaker with audiophile ambitions. It handles all kinds of music and movies with a great performance, and is the perfect compromise between size, performance and price. The main issue with the DALI's seems to be that they need an amplifier that is very articulate and clean, but that has a warm and musical bass. The only complaint against the Ikon 6's is that the frequency range where the fundamental notes of the bass instruments are seems a bit muted. you can feel but not hear the actual notes. DALI Ikon 6 5.1 package review Need plenty of room to breathe, but if you've got the space, these Award-winners will delight Tested at £2235.00 By What Hi-Fi? published 15 August 2006 What Hi-Fi?
