The i.Supershape Magnum is a carving-focused ski intended for ripping turns all over the mountain. It has a 128 mm tip and 72 mm waist (at 170 cm), very similar to a World Cup race ski, and a short, 13.1 m radius designed for quick and snappy turns.. While it uses several of Head's award-winning World Cup race technologies, the Supershape series is built for the recreational skier. The Magnum is a bit narrower than the Titan so it will be a little quicker edge to edge. The Magnum is for advanced and expert skiers.
Head Supershape i. Magnum, Allround skis, winter 2016/17, PRX12 bindings
The Supershape I.Magnum from Head is a very good ski for intermediate to advanced skiers who want to learn to carve at low to moderate speeds on an easy and forgiving ski. Review: Pros Easy to pivot and initiate turns Carving Decent performance at low to moderate speeds Versatile - good at skidded and carved turns Good ski-snow contact Review: Cons The Supershape i.Magnum is very much a short turn ski, an area it excels in thanks to the fast edge to edge transfer, easy turn initiation, good bite and lively rebound. However, the ski is far less happy when we try to extend the turns. It's a good tool for riders looking for a slalom ski that will rip down the slopes in very dynamic short.
