You will walk for a very long time on purple stones in a decor of big rocks. On weekends the lodge offers soup, salad, dessert, and coffee or tea between 12 pm and 2 pm, cash only. The campground at Lake O'Hara has 30 sites available. The hike to Lake O'Hara is long but not very hard. The hike is around 7 miles/11 km (2-3 hours) each way and goes slowly but steadily up in elevation all the way up to the lake.
