It is known for being the centre for classical music in Amsterdam and the Netherlands, with its grand Main Hall suited for a full orchestra, a Small Hall for quartets and chamber music and the Choir Hall for intimate recitals. The programming will suit the tastes of discerning listeners as well as beginners. Bimhuis Attached to the Muziekgebouw is the world famous Bimhuis — the central spot for the Dutch jazz scene. The ground floor of the building contains cafe restaurant Star Ferry. It is open to the public serving lunches and dinners. AFAS Live, formerly known as Heineken Music Hall, is a concert hall in Amsterdam, in the south, not far from the Johan Cruijff Arena.It consists of two halls: the main one, commonly referred to as the 'black box', has a capacity of 5500 people and an area of 3000 square metres, while the smaller hall is dedicated to smaller events and accommodates 700 people.
