Navagio Beach ( Greek: Παραλία Ναυάγιο, pronounced [naˈvaʝio] ), or Shipwreck Beach, is an exposed cove, sometimes referred to as "Smugglers Cove", on the coast of Zakynthos, in the Ionian Islands of Greece. Navagio Beach was originally known as Agios Georgios. In popular culture Shipwreck Navagio is a completely non-organized seashore, having an absence of on-the-beach facilities other than the grand shipwreck! It can only be approached by boat (usually from the ports of Porto Vromi and Agios Nikolaos) or via a privately rented speedboat. The viewpoint above the beach can be easily reached by car, though!

Navagio is certainly one of the most photogenic beaches in Greece. The rusty old wreck is stranded on the crescent of pale sand, framed by the steep limestone cliffs and the turquoise sea. This makes it a winning photographic combination. You can get that postcard shot yourself, from a metal platform that juts out from the cliff above the beach. Navagio Beach ( Greece) This corner of the Ionian Islands has the peculiarity of having been the final destination of a smugglers ship, Panagiotis, which was shipwrecked and ended up stranded here. Most tourists arrive by sea, taking one of the mini-ferries that cross the island from Zakynthos city or from nearby ports. The Shipwreck Beach (also called Navagio) on the Greek island - Zakynthos is the most beautiful beach I have seen. It's claimed to be the most beautiful - and I agree.
