When Prince dissolved the Revolution in 1986, Wendy and Lisa began work on their self-titled debut, which was issued in '87, and boasted their familiar psychedelic pop/dance hybrid. 1990's EROICA, their third album, found them exploring an alternative rock feel, a direction they continued on in '98 under the moniker Girl Bros. Wendy and Lisa have also worked as session musicians. Wendy Melvoin and Lisa Coleman graced the cover of the April 24, 1986 issue of Rolling Stone, just a few days shy of a month after the late March release of Prince's eighth album Parade (1986). In the piece, titled on the cover as "Wendy and Lisa: Prince's Women," writer/interviewer Neal Karlen worked to understand the dynamic between Melvoin, Coleman and Prince. GIRL BROS.
