A small but notable change is coming to the Dressing Room in Patch 9.1.5. You can view and link your outfit in the game chat and even outside of the game. Hovering over the item lets you know if that appearance has been collected yet. You have two options when it comes to sharing your outfit.
Thankfully Pingaan posted BIS lists for every tier a while ago and wowhead has a classic dressing room, so I combined both and made screenshots of the results. Maybe this is also helpful for other people who care about looks (without ignoring performance).
