Additional equipment includes a three-speed automatic transmission, a Ford 9-inch rear end, an aluminum radiator, a four-barrel. The Ford F-3 was a 3/4-Ton heavy duty regular cab truck that was part of the 1948-1950 Ford F-Series. The F-3 was most familiar as an 8' pickup bed, but an express and a platform/stake were available. Although called a heavy-duty 3/4 ton, the actual payload capacity of the F-3 pickup was nearer to the 1-1/2-ton trucks. This F3 must have been built in early 1950, as the 3-speed shifter was relocated from the floor to the column mid-1950. Under the hood is the 239ci flat-head V8.
