Coordinates: 40°46′14″N 111°53′33″W Temple Square is a 10-acre (4.0 ha) complex, owned by the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (LDS Church), in the center of Salt Lake City, Utah. The usage of the name has gradually changed to include several other church facilities that are immediately adjacent to Temple Square. The Assembly Hall and surrounding gardens and facilities will be closed as crews remove the restroom buildings and portions of the wall. Crews will also update the landscaping. It is anticipated this area will be closed for a year. Additional information on how to access Temple Square with this closure will be updated as the northwest corner opens.
