The irony is that what for me was a genuinely mind-expanding bike, turns out to be actually relatively conservative these days. Unlike its recently redesigned bigger brothers in the Cube full-sus lineup, the ONE22 for now is a renamed Stereo 120, which is over four years old.The good news is that it remains popular as a 'good moderate trail bike for everyday use', in the words of our man at Cube. New for this year, Cube provides the 'Stereo One' in four variants: the One22, One44, One55 and One77. Based on a similar four-bar frame with a very similar silhouette, the choice is up to the rider. The long-travel Stereo One77 would be a hit for steeper terrain. It is air and coil spring compatible too, via lower shock mount options.

It comes equipped with RockShox suspension consisting of a Lyrik Select+ fork and a RockShox Deluxe Select+ air shock. The GX Eagle groupset provides reliable shifting. The 2020 Cube Stereo Hybrid 160 is the biggest travel e-MTB from Cube, and it's had a full redesign this year with a new carbon chassis that's built around the powerful Bosch Gen 4 motor.
