Open the driver's door. Look under the dashboard on the driver's side. Some models require that you remove the rectangular fuse box cover if there is any. Locate the OBD2 port on your Kia. The OBD2 port is a black connector. It has 16 pins, and it is distinguishable by its trapezoidal shape. Kia Rio P0456 OBDII Code Symptoms P0456 code will typically not be accompanied by any noticeable symptoms other than the smell of gas and the service engine soon light. There are two ways to reset P0442. You can plug a scan tool into your Rio and command it to clear the codes, or you can repair the EVAP leak. If you clear the code without fixing the cause, it will return. If you fix the leak without clearing the code, the check engine light may take a few drive cycles to turn off.
