The Parker Harlequin 80 (sometimes called the Parker 45 Harlequin) was seen as a way of livening up the aged Parker 45 at a period in time where sales were falling. Introduced in 1980 the Harlequin is immediately recognisable due to the etched patterns that run the length of the pen. The Parker 45 Flighter was designed as an upmarket all metal version following the success of the plastic bodied pens, with the name continuing the Parker tradition in calling their stainless steel pens "Flighter".

The Parker 45 Fountain Pen is a classic and in this video we take a look at it. Cigar-shaped, fatter in the middle than at the ends (5 mm diameter each end, 11 mm diameter at widest point), the pen has plastic barrel, cap and section with chromed clip, finial, and trim. The nib is semi-hooded and gold-plated steel. It looks like a typical pen.
