However, during the original creation of the cube base, I temporarily mounted an 8×8 panel to the base and used a thin piece of scrap wood 1″ in width between the base PCB and bottom row of LEDs to lift the panels to the required height. I also used a setsquare to make sure the panel was perpendicular to the base.
