Mail order SPECIFICATION Upper leather Top quality calf leather. Leather lining My first pair of Alfred Sargents, and first pair of black shoes in a long time. Wilson cap toe from No Man Walks Alone. A special makeup without the broguing. Soft chisel toe 104 last. Nice entry into conservative business dress oxford/balmoral style. Quality is very good, solid, maybe a bit stiffer than Crockett and Jones, and true to my 10UK. Alfred Sargent 109: 9.5UK - look like they should be too narrow, but actually fit quite well Crockett & Jones 335: 9.5UK - Like the Van last, too narrow in forefoot, too wide in heel Viberg 1035: 9.5 is good length but way too narrow, 10 is good width but much too long Herring Charles II is made by Alfred Sargent on their 109 last and is quite reasonably priced at 275 pounds instead of the Armfield's roughly 400 pounds. More importantly however, you can get it right away in Oak brown. My definite favorite of different browns.

The fantastic shape of the 109 last. Just gorgeous. After an interesting dialogue regarding their services and selection of shoes, I also decided to purchase a pair of Alfred Sargent Hunts from their store. Having been around since 1899, they have gone through some hard time before overhauling their company direction and design in 2010. Currently they offer 2 range of product, Handgrade Line and Exclusive line. Apparently Exclusive line has hand patina as well. Description Last 109 Exclusive Grade Available in F fitting Fully leather lined with full leather insole Goodyear welted, Channel-stitched leather sole & quarter rubber tip Hand crafted in Northampton England Alfred Sargent Armfield, a legendary shoe by an iconic English shoemaker. From the Swan's neck detailing to the channel-stitched sole these shoes need no introduction. I do have low volume/low instep/narrow heel feet. Plus I have pretty long toes, so I have to be careful with lasts that taper super aggressively in the toe box. Thank you in advance.
