Azwel's core gameplay focus centers around his immediate efficacy at virtually any range. His multiple modes and stances provide the right tool for the job at most distances, but not the best tool. He is very vulnerable without his weapons, and his various modes and stances are a double-edged sword, as they require players to know how to use.
Azwel switches between his three weapon states either by using weapon stances with K, or by manually inputting attacks.. For example, using AA in sword stance is i10, while it is i18 out of ax or spear (and leaves Azwel in sword mode).
