Calocedrus Decurrens 'Aureovariegata' . The Calocedrus Decurrens 'Aureovariegata' is an evergreen conifer with deep green foliage, scattered irregularly with bold highlights of rich yellow gold. Relatively slow growing it's pyramidal shape is maintained as it grows so only a light trim in early spring may be needed. SHRUB - a woody plant with branches growing bushy from the ground level. HALF-STANDARD or MINI-STANDARD - a small tree with shorter trunk, its size is usually specified. FEATHERED - These are trees with branches growing already from the base of the trunk and up along the stem. L. decurrens 'Aureovariegata' has irregular bright yellow shoots which vary in size through the tree and gives it a curious, but attractive, spotted appearance. A tree seen recently in the Model Village at Godshill on the Isle of Wight had more yellow branches in greater profusion than on any other tree of this sort which I have yet seen.
