So i'm replaying halo 4 and the cutscenes at the end of Didact and the beginning of reclaimer have me a little baffled. Pararongsky chose Del Rio because he's not a particularly great captain - him going missing to pilot the Infinity wouldn't raise many eyebrows, while picking the very best would. Del Rio became an anti-Spartan-II politician after his demotion. Shows how wicked he is.
