The Ferrari 410 S was a sports racing car produced by Ferrari in 1955-1956. After the racing successes of 375 Plus, mainly in 1954 Carrera Panamericana, Ferrari decided to prepare another model for this marathon. 1955 Ferrari 410 Sport Spider by Scaglietti Built to contest the brutal 1900-mile Carrera Panamericana road race in Mexico, the Ferrari 410 Sport Spider was perfectly adapted to punishing endurance events, boasting a strong and lightweight steel chassis formed of elliptical steel tubes. The 410 was Ferrari's top sports-racing car in 1955 and effectively replaced the 375 Plus which won Le Mans in 1954. It was specifically designed for a race stretching up the newly built Mexican highway called the Carrera Panamerica and was named 'Carrera Messicana' internally by Ferrari.
