Chara sighed before following Frisk through the archway. As they crossed through the archway, on the other side sitting in a small patch of dirt was a familiar golden flower with a face in the middle of his petals. Noticing them approaching, Flowey smiled and said, "Howdy! I'm Flowey. Frisk is sick with the flu, and Flowey is extremely worried. Frisk comforts him and he takes care of her, and sleepy confessions ensue. Set in a post Underfell Neutral route universe where Frisk gets Flowey and some of the more kindhearted monsters to the surface, while the crueler ones remain trapped.
Here's what I think. Flowey assumes that the name you chose in the beginning of the game is your own name. He refers to you as "Chara" because he believes that your have the same name as them.
