Ink Review Noodler's Blue — The Gentleman Stationer
Mr. Noodlers is a fountain pen enthusiast. He *wants* people to use fountain pens, not destroy them. I firmly believe he is the #1 reason for the abundance of inks in the present market. With the exceptions of some unique inks mentioned by others, the primary item of note is that Noodlers inks are not weak. Noodler's Black is arguably the most popular fountain pen ink in the US, and for a darn good reason. It rocks, and I'll show you why. The swabs and drops did take a very long time to dry. After two days they still weren't completely dry. Dry time: 50 seconds. Water resistance: High. This ink is advertised as bulletproof as well. Feathering: None. Show through: low to medium. Bleeding: None. Other properties: low shading, no sheen. Noodler's Ink. Noodler's ink is made in the United States by Nathan Tardif. Here are swabs for all of the Noodler's inks I have reviewed so far. If you click on the swab it will take you to the review of that ink. I will update this page every time I review a Noodler's ink. ***UPDATE*** As of October 2023 I will no longer be reviewing Noodler.

Saturation: Low - The light brown hue of this ink allows for a lot of additional color changes when more ink is added. This allows for the intense amount of shading you can see in it, and makes it fantastic in art. Ease of Cleaning: Easy - The light shade of this ink makes it a breeze to clean out of your pen. Today's ink is Noodler's Air-Corp Blue-Black. I purchased my sample of ink from Vanness Pens. After a few days of waiting for the ink to dry I ended up wiping some of the ink off so I could photograph it. Dry time: 50 seconds. Water resistance: High-a little bit of the blue washed away, but the black did not budge. Feathering: None. Noodler's Ink has teamed up with Goldspot Pens and created a new store exclusive ink: Noodler's Revolution Blue. Thanks to Goldspot for sending a bottle over for review! This ink starts a vibrant medium blue when wet, and dries to a lighter more matte finish; it reminds me of how De Atramentis Sketch inks perform, which are pigmented.

Ink Review #210: Noodler's Antietam. January 30, 2018. Today is another reader request ink review, Noodler's Antietam. Antietam is from the standard Noodler's line, meaning that it doesn't have any bulletproof or archival properties. I purchased my sample of ink from Vanness Pens. The large swab took a long time to dry. Noodler's Black fountain pen ink is a great choice for first time bottled ink buyers who are looking for a solid performing black ink with archival and waterproof qualities, but there are better alternatives for those who don't need these bulletproof qualities. Noodler's Black certainly has its quirks, but it counters these with an extremely affordable price, unique branding, and great color.
