The centre appears to be Tunguska, where an enormous explosion happened for debatable reasons. It could be that this explosion was much larger in SU lore, but seeing as the galaxy warp is there and the Homeworld gems left Earth thousands of years before the Tunguska incident, it's unlikely. 1.
