BMW has been a major player in the world of motorsports for many years, and its rally cars are among the most exciting and dynamic vehicles on the track. Whether you're a fan of high-speed racing or simply love the thrill of the open road, BMW rally cars are sure to provide an unforgettable driving experience. The E30 BMW M3 is one of the coolest cars ever built. It's a homologation special that established a marque that would become an enthusiast staple for generations. Every one is special, which. The 2002's rally-racing legacy, often pioneered by BMW-backed privateer teams, was born in the later '60s at the hands of a few notable drivers, including Polish driver Sobieslaw "Sobi" Zasada, Tony Fall, and Achim Warmbold. Zasada's most notable victory—and perhaps the 2002's, too—came at the 1971 European Rally Championship. BMW racing cars have been driving around the world's tracks for more than 90 years. BMW has never pretended to be an off-road-centric brand, nor will it ever be. But the German automaker's strength has always existed in their adaptability and their engineering diversity: Force them into an urban cityscape and they'll give you an Isetta or an i3. With a BMW E36 on rally stages, great sound and sideways action is guaranteed. Here are the best shots I got in the last years from these RWD iconics.filmed.
There was something that didn't suit the E30 M3 on the stages and that something was the rear suspension setup. Like the production car, the rally equivalent built by Prodrive featured a semi-trailing arm at the rear which only offered around 60mm of bump travel. A short travel range was suited to the smooth race circuits, but it made the E30. The BMW 325 iX was the first BMW road car to be offered with all-wheel drive, it was first released back in 1986 as an answer to the Audi Quattros which were dominating in the world of rally and enjoying a sales boost as a result.

For 1983, all Group 4 cars with unexpired homologation could get automatic Group B certification if the manufacturer applied for the change: so did the BMW M1. However, the rally car in itself remained unchanged. At this point, the Group B "evolution" (ET) feature was used to homologate the Procar special racing parts per the new regulations.
