Some suggestions: First, add a button to subtract from your Attributes during chargen. Second, add a "literacy warning" if you don't have at least one dot in Linguistics. Soak boosters, multiattacks, and more of the above are solid extensions, if you don't have anything else in mind. If you're not familiar with it, there's an excellent podcast - Systematic Understanding of Everything, that covers a lot of the basic mechanics and lore of the game, including an episode on character creation. Exalted 3rd Edition depicts both a revitalized and expanded Creation, and the triumphant return of the Solar Exalted—but whether their rebirth will herald the salvation or destruction of the world, none can say. The system redesign takes the best parts of the previous editions and streamlines the mechanics for maximum playability. It goes over cadet houses and other Dragon-Blooded factions, as well as additional charms, but it is not necessary for the Great Houses. As far as character creation goes, it is mostly similar to creating a solar character with minor differences. The most important differences to pay attention to are specialties and charm keywords.
