1. Begin by drawing a simple circle or oval shape. This is your head. Bisect it vertically, allowing the vertical line to drop below the bottom of the circle. 2. Bisect the circle horizontally. This line will serve as the rough indication of the brow. 3. Sketch a horizontal line just under the top of the circle to represent the hairline. 1. Drawing the head shape. The way I draw the initial head shape is by starting with a large circle (1). I then make a vertical line dividing the face in half (2) and add a centered, small horizontal line a bit below the circle, which will be the chin (3). *The shorter you make this horizontal line, the narrower/pointer your chin will be. 2. Divide the oval in half vertically and horizontally. The easiest way to draw a face is to use dividing lines to map out the proportions of the features.
