Nothing special compared to some posts on here but thought I would still post my first fused

71 Posted February 1, 2017 You should use a spaced coil if you're using SS316L. Claptons don't work in TC mode. Micro coils also don't work well in TC mode. Personally, I have used both SS316L and SS304 and I find the latter works much better due to a steeper TCR function. My perfect coil build for TC (SS316L, 24ga, 9 wraps, 3mm inner diameter, 0,24Ohm).

SS316L tends to hold its shape quite well once coiled so pinching it seemed to not give me much in terms of evening the coil out. So I decided on spaced and low and behold perfect heating (along with a spot on scottish wick) no dry hits even if the cotton went fairly dry.. Most used build has been 2ish mm 10 wrap spaced 24g @ 400-430*F, 50. What is a horizontal coil? What is a vertical coil? What's the difference between a half wrap and full wrap? Should I test the resistance of my coil before firing it? Can I build a Clapton Coil? Can I use a type of wire that's not listed on the drop down menu of this calculator? What does 'Vaping Power @ 4.2V' mean? I've read a lot of posts about people's builds and how they work and it seems that most people use 24 gauge Kanthal or Stainless Steel. 24 gauge wire has a lot higher Heat Capacity than 26 gauge wire (which is what i had been using in my builds), and thus would be much slower coils. ss316 build help. Jun 23, 2016. #1. Hello Everyone! I just wanted to share my dual twisted 316L coil build. This is my first build with stainless steel and overall I am pretty impressed. The flavor is super clean without a metallic taste and there is plenty of flavor and vapor output. I like having the ability to switch between wattage mode and temp control mode. an introduction to coil building using a good starting point - spaced coils built on an RDA. So I couldn't pass on the Cuboid for $33 this morning, and of course had to order some SS wire to go with it. I got some 24 and 26 gauge. I started out building with ni200, and moved to Ti, doing mostly dual coils, sometimes twisted. Anyone have any favorite builds with SS they would like to share? 3 11 Jun 19, 2016 #2 A few question I'm looking for are I'm using 316L 1 is it ok to glow your coils when you build them? 2 stainless steel is good to use in both wattage and temp modes? 3 I have heard if it heats up to hot it could make some type of gases that are bad? 4 any info that I might need to safely build and use it.

Jan 31, 2017 #1 I have a question for people that builds on SS, i use Ni80 ATM. (I am loving this thing, tried kanthal but not for me). Has the benefits of being easy to work with, not super-low resistance (I use 24AWG SS316l, from UD), AND changes resistance with increase in temp, so it can be used with TC mods to prevent dry-hits. Before now, if you wanted to use SS wire in TC mode, you had to use a DNA200 device, and enter a custom temperature curve/graph/thingo. Until now
