Well, perhaps it is just one man's opinion, but yeah, it isn't as good as ASOIAF. The problem of WoT is that it is generic fantasy series. Jordan is brilliant in world-building and even though there is too many of characterization based on nationality (not all people from one country are the same), the series offers some interesting plots.
