We have the experience, knowledge and skill set to care for very young horses and the unexpected medical issues common to orphan foals. In 1986, Last Chance Corral emerged as a facility for abandoned and neglected horses. The non-profit organization is located in Athens, OH. The rescue has many ongoing missions, but one of their largest is the Nurse Mare Foal Rescue Project. Over the years, they have saved thousands of nurse mare foals. Establishing the Last Chance Corral a 501 (c)3 non-profit 1986 was the realization of her vision of creating a much-needed facility to offer horses asylum. Today, not only is LCC still providing save haven for the mistreated, unwanted and simply misunderstood horses, it is also one of the largest (if not the largest) and longest running.
