Maharaja Sawai Pratap Singh was born as the youngest son of his father Sawai Madho Singh I on 2 December 1764 . Sawai Pratap Singh became the Maharaja at the age of 14 after the death of his elder brother Prithvi Singh II. He ruled from 1778 to 1803.
