How to Create a Simple Preschool Family Theme Book. I folded an 11 x 17 inch of construction paper in half, so it opened on the right side like a book. I then cut the top to resemble a roof and made a couple of cuts at the bottom to resemble a door that can open and close. I made one of these for each child in my 2 year old class. Bind and make a class book titled "What Families Do Best". Paper Doll Family. Materials: paper, crayons or markers, glue. Using an 8 1/2 x 11 sheet of paper trace a person shape with a black marker. Make several copies of the person for each child. Make sure to make some of the people smaller than the others for younger siblings.
