Steps on how to make paper quilled butterflies With strips of quilling paper, make a couple of white teardrop coils. 1 strip of black paper 3″ long glue (I used Aleene's Tacky Glue and PPA for this project) slotted quilling tool ( here at Custom Quilling , or here o n Amazon) Circle sizing guide ( make your own, or find on here at Custom Quilling or here on Amazon) Notes: All of the papers I used for this tutorial were 1/8″ (3mm) width. Supplies - Paper strips; I used 5mm pre-bought black and yellow quilling strips, and I made my own white strips from A4 white printer paper. - A4 pieces of paper; a few white, and one black - X-acto knife & cutting mat; you'll need these if you need to make your own paper strips, or need to cut other pieces out. Glue the end of the black strip to one side of a wing. Wrap it around the wing, pulling slightly so the pieces are nice and snug against each other. I like to wrap it around twice. You can do it just once for a thin border around each wing, or 3 or more times for a nice thick border.
