Marketed as a shoe for 5k-10k races, I've found it thrives on shorter tempos and track. The Adidas Takumi Sen 10 is a good, modern racing flat which is best suited to 5K/10K races or short workouts. It doesn't provide as much speed assistance as a full marathon racer but it has better stability and more ground feel. Version 10 feels faster than version 9 due to its stiffer forefoot but it has picked up some weight.
