The largest Blu-Tack sculpture 'Spiderus Biggus' a giant spider, weighing 200 kg (440 lb), spanning 1.2 m (4 ft) and created from 4,000 packs of Blu-Tack® to launch a Spider-man 3 competition. It was created by Elizabeth Thompson (UK) and went on display at London Zoo, UK in October 2007. Blu Tack is a reusable putty -like pressure-sensitive adhesive produced by Bostik, commonly used to attach lightweight objects (such as posters or sheets of paper) to walls, doors or other dry surfaces. Traditionally blue, it is also available in other colours. Generic versions of the product are also available from other manufacturers. The sculpture, known as 'Blu-ey', is a model of a common house spider and is completely made out of blu-tack. It is on show at BUGS! at ZSL London Zoo. PREPARATION 1. Make certain that the surfaces to which Bostik Blu Tack is to be applied are clean, dry and free from dust, grease and loose surface material. APPLICATION 2.
