Rosa 'Claude Monet' (aka JACdesa) is a red blend hybrid tea rose cultivar, bred by American hybridizer, Jack E. Christensen. The rose is named for the French painter, Claude Monet. It was introduced into the US in 1992 by Jackson & Perkins Co. and also introduced the same year in France by Delbard Nursery as part of their Painter roses series. Blooms in flushes throughout the season. Habit: Glossy, dark green foliage. Height: 35" to 39" (90 to 100cm). Width: 20" to 2' (50 to 60cm). Growing: USDA zone 6b and warmer. Spring Pruning: Remove old canes and dead or diseased wood and cut back canes that cross. In warmer climates, cut back the remaining canes by about one-third.
