This will secure one end of the elastic inside the scrunchie. Sew down the long edge of the fabric, where the edges of the fabric match - not the folded edge. . Fold lengthwise with right sides of the fabric together, aligning long raw edges. Use a straight running stitch to sew along open side, with a 1/4" seam allowance, to make a tube.
