Kevin Bird (7 August 1952 - 15 February 2023) was an English professional footballer who played as a defender for Mansfield Town and Huddersfield Town . Career Born in Doncaster, Bird began his career as an apprentice at his hometown club Doncaster Rovers, but was released in 1972, without making a senior appearance for the team.

16 February 2023 Remembering one of the club's greatest ever players, Kevin Bird, who has died aged 70. Kevin was born in Armthorpe, near Doncaster, on 07 August 1952. He started his career with his home town club, Doncaster Rovers, but was not retained in the summer of 1972. Mansfield Town legend Kevin Bird enters the pitch for his testimonial game back in 1983. Bird played 450 times for Stags and was one of the club's greatest ever players.
