Kingstown (pronounced in English: [ˈkɪŋsˌtaʊn]) is the capital city of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines. The city has the main port and the biggest commercial center of the islands. In the 2005 census, it had a population of 25,148 inhabitants [citation needed], being the city founded in 1722 by the French.
